Barcelona vs Real Madrid Highlights and final score 3-0 in Pre -season Friendly

Barcelona thrashed Real Madrid 3-0 in another preseason El Clasico in the United States, this time at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. They also won the summer El Clasico  episodes on American soil in 2017 and 2022.

It was a welcome victory for Barcelona, who had to cancel a friendly against Juventus due to bout of gastroenteritis that beleaguered the squad, then lost 5-3 to Arsenal.

Oriel Romeu, FC Barcelona's new signing  was the first to shake Real Madrid's  crossbar with a thunderous drive in the fourth minute at the home of the NFL's Dallas Cowboys.

Real Madrid  reacted quickly to FC Barcelona's first attempt. Ter Stegen threw  himself on the ground as Vinicius sent  a shot narrowly to the side.

Jules Kounde prevented  Bellingham from scoring the evening's first goal, but the Englishman remained dangerous in front of goal.

However, Barcelona took the lead shortly after when Pedri slid a diagonal cross into the path of Dembele, who hammered the ball inside the far corner from a tight angle.

Given the rumors of a possible transfer to PSG, the Frenchman's inclusion in the starting eleven came as a surprise. Xavi Hernandez, on the other hand, has always praised the winger and his value to the team. Dembele's goal came from a spectacular strike from a tight angle following an elaborate set-piece play, but he also had a 1-on-1 that he should've won. He was the most vigorous attacker on the day, particularly as compared to the more reserved Robert Lewandowski.

Barcelona clearly needs him, and a massive deal would be required to make parting ways with a game-changer like Dembele worthwhile. The club lacks a player with his skill set and speed out wide, and while the team struggled in attack for chunks last season, it's impossible to predict whether such dry spells will be even more pronounced in 2023/24.

Real Madrid had several chances, but Vinicius Jr missed the post on a first-half penalty kick, and Madrid hit the crossbar four more times as the finishing proved missing for a squad trying to find its way without longstanding captain and prolific scorer Karim Benzema, who moved to Saudi Arabia.

Real Madrid lacked end product yesterday , which was most evident in a first-half penalty awarded for a handball by Barcelona in the box. Vinicius Jr. stepped up, but according to Transfermarkt, he's only taken two penalties in his entire career. He was unable to deliver, shattering the crossbar. However, it was a poorly executed penalty.

There will be speculation about whether set-piece expert Rodrygo or possibly Jude Bellingham should take over the penalty responsibilities ahead of Vinicius. However, Vinicius is poised to take on a larger role for the squad, and taking penalties away from him would be detrimental to his ambitions.

Despite missing the penalty and hitting the crossbar twice, Vinicius was still the best Real Madrid player on the field. He must continue to do what he does best on the left wing, but he will need support in the middle of the box. Rodrygo and Bellingham had little of it in the game, while Joselu  who only played a few minutes wasted a golden opportunity.

After halftime, Aurelien Tchouameni hit the crossbar with a long-range shot, and as Real Madrid  sought for an equalizer, Barca substitute Fermin Lopez, 20, stunned Thibuat Courtois on 85 minutes with a 20-yard strike after Toni Kroos had given away possession.

Fermin Lopez of Barcelona capitalized on an uneven Real Madrid team pursuing a late equalizer, scoring and assisting on two late goals to secure the victory. So, while the scoreline ultimately flatters Barcelona, it also reveals some Real Madrid finishing concerns, which could be exacerbated if wins don't arrive early in the season.

Lopez is a 20-year-old midfielder who joined the Barcelona youth  set-up seven years ago and has played for the club's youth teams, reserve side Barca Atletic, and third-division side Linares.

He played in the right and left midfield channels against Real Madrid, slotting into central midfield. And, while he did much beyond the two goals, he also displayed good attacking instincts with his long-range strike and precisely weighted chipped ball over the top.

Despite the fact that another loan term might seem to make sense, manager Xavi Hernandez has stated that he will remain with the first squad, according to Alfredo Martinez.

"I like him, I see talent, and the final pass," Xavi  praised Fermin Lopez after the game, as reported by Relevo. "It's what we were missing last season in the final third."

Vinicius hit a third shot against the crossbar from a close angle, but Ferran Torres clinched the victory by galloping on to a Lopez pass and lifting the ball over the advancing Courtois and into the empty net.

In the end, Real Madrid should have taken something out of this game. However, Vinicius Jr missed penalty and two crossbars, Rodrygo diving set-piece clearance by Ter Stegen, and Jude Bellingham post on a header were unable to break through. Then followed Aurelien Tchouameni distance woodwork and forward substitute Joselu wide open header that missed the target.

Barcelona had their first-choice backline, and they defended effectively after taking an early lead, but the Blaugrana were also extremely auspicious

"The result is a bit misleading," Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez stated.

"The outcome is favorable  but it doesn't mean we played a super match . We shouldn't be cocksure.

"It was a very even match in which Madrid had countless chances." There are several things that could be enhanced."

Barcelona will take on AC Milan on Tuesday, followed by Tottenham on August 8, before opening the season against Getafe on August 13.

Real Madrid's winning pre-season streak came to an end after victories over AC Milan 3-2 and Manchester United 2-0. They play Juventus in Orlando on August 2 before returning to Spain for the start of the season on August 12.
